Financial Policy
Operation Military Blessings was incorporated November 6, 1996 in the State of Idaho, filings with the Internal Revenue Service Tax Code and The Idaho Secretary of State as a non-profit charitable organization 501(3)(C).
All donations received are secure as to names, and donor addresses are held in strictest confidence. No donor information will be published or shared.
No salaries are paid to any Board of Directors members or members of the Advisory Council. There are no expense accounts or business expenses incurred by board members, or advisors. Our expenses incurred by this organization are restricted for accounting services, legal representation, graphic design and internet expenses. The organization incurs minimal operating expenses, amounting to less than 1% of total donations. All other funds are used to support military families as described in other sections of this website.
Donations are accepted on face value, but are reviewed to determine if donations are aligned with our Statement of Faith, By-laws, and Policies. Any donor or institution not aligned with our stated Mission will be returned to the donor promptly and fully.
No donations will be used other than for supporting our military families, and specifically as stated in Our Mission & Distribution Polices.
Gift Card Distribution Policy
PURPOSE: To provide financial support & assistance by the way of direct financial gift cards, or special financial assistance, and by seasonal distribution of Christmas toys and food baskets.
ELIGIBILITY: Active, reserve national guard married military members only in the lowest ranks of E-1 through E-4.
SELECTION PROCESS: Nominations of designated financial assistance and or grants will follow the below stipulations.
- Nominees will be nominated and vetted by the respective military unit first sergeants, unit, squadron, or agency chiefs, or chaplain.
- Criteria: Military member must have shown a demonstrated emergency financial need to their respective first sergeants, agency chiefs or chaplain. Only married military members or single-family parents in the rank of E1 to E4 will be selected for approval. Gifts cards are not to be used as awards, incentives, military social events, or base functions.
- Nominated married military families E1 to E4 must be vetted, then directed to the Family Support Center for disbursement. First sergeant’s, agency unit chief or chaplain will forward their recommendation and vetting to the Family Programs Office, Military for the secondary and final review. Family Programs may require financial counseling or other just actions at this stage of the process.
- Disbursement of emergency financial assistance to be only at this final stage.
- Financial gift card repository: Approved emergency gift card, toys and food baskets for military recipients must be tracked. Gift Card documentation is required and must be reported Quarterly using the provided Reporting Form.
- Accountability: Approved emergency gift card, toys and food baskets for military recipients should be tracked as recommended.
- Public Service Announcements: Any release of information may use Operation Military Blessings by “OMB Worldwide” which is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations. Board of Directors names will be communicated only for background informational purposes and not to be published except by permission.
- Operation Military Blessings exists solely to provide emergency financial assistance to the most junior grade married military members having a demonstrated need. Our donors are retired military, civilians, churches, charitable organizations, and Corporations & Foundations from around our nation. We are privileged to come alongside our military family & Family Programs.
